Former Musiga President Bice Osei Kuffour commonly known as ‘Obour’ has attributed his loss in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) primaries to inexperience and has practically promised to come back stronger.
In Obour’s bid to succeed the incumbent Member of Parliament for the Asante Akyem South constituency, Kwaku Asante Boateng lost with 68 votes less.
According to Obuor, the delegates have made their choice and he needs to respect that and again he is in no position to change that.
Obour went on and averred that if it hadn’t been the less experience he had in the election field he would have won massively.
“He’s been in parliament for two terms already and he is going the third term, definitely he may have some tricks that I don’t have, it’s all good for a first-timer”, he averred.
Obour after hearing the count from his stronghold started jubilating thinking it was all over until he was floored by the incumbent Member of Parliament during the total count.
The results of the votes in the Asante Akyem South are as follows;
Kwaku Asante Boateng – 364 Votes (Winner)
Bice Osei Kuffour – 296 Votes
William Yamoah – 38 Votes
Eric Amofa – 12 Votes
Edmund Oppong Preprah – 9 Votes
