The chief of Asamankese in the Eastern Region, Osabarima Adu Darko III has charged Parents to control their daughters who are in long holidays over Pandemic COVID-19 in order for them not to get pregnant and return to School to destruct others.
He said the long holidays should not be used by students to get pregnant and charged parents to be more proactive in this period on their daughters.
Osabarima Adu Darko III said this during the celebration of Ohum festival in Asamankese which brought together chiefs, heads of Institutions, and others numbering about seventy with strict protocols over COVID-19.
The chief revealed that he saw some Senior High school candidates in Asasco and St. Thomas SHS in Asamankese who are pregnant during his tour to these Schools recently.
He said, “the painful aspects of these pregnant candidates is that they will go there and fall sick or destruct others with illness in pregnancy, please the schools are not Labour ward, if you get pregnant, stay at home.”
Osabarima Adu Darko III was optimistic that Schools will not be closed forever and charged parents to do their best for their kids in the House and continue to make education a priority.
