Afram Plains South and Asene Akroso districts have recorded its first Coronavirus cases.
The Afram Plains South case was confirmed yesterday out of released results of about half of 30 samples of suspected cases sent for testing.
A driver who works with a state Institution in Accra but recently came home at Akyem Akroso in Asene Manso Akroso District has also tested positive.
Health officials have meanwhile asked his wife who is a food vendor in a School to stop selling till results samples of the family are released.
Contact tracing is ongoing in both cases.
The latest districts bring to 31 out of 33 districts and Municipalities that have recorded Covid-19 cases in the Eastern Region.
Eastern Regional Covid-19 Cases count has hit 960 with 856 recoveries and discharges. The death toll remains 10 in the July 11, 2020 update by the Regional Health Directorate.
