The election was held virtually and declared by the Electoral Commission.
Speaking to the media in Koforidua, the newly elected Eastern Regional Chairman of the Party Amos Nkansah said the economy of Ghana has been mismanaged for far too long hence the chronic hardship and poverty in the country therefore important for Ghanaians to break and NPP and NDC duopoly by bringing the PPP into power to change the narrative.
He explained that “the main problem in our country is unemployment so if the people have jobs to do they Will have money in their pockets they will not go and kowtow to people to ask for money so we are praying that we will get power so that the Youth will have jobs to do so that the youth will get money in their pocks. We have already said that the government should use it’s purchasing power to get jobs for the people but what are we seeing. PPP is thinking of Employment, thinking of Education. Our Education Policy says that we are going to have free compulsory continuous Education from Kindergarten to JHS. If I don’t have a solid foundation what is free SHS for me.”
