Ghanaian Rapper Kwame Ametepee Tsikata, popularly known, as Manifest is looking forward to a stronger industry despite the disappointment offered by the coronavirus this year.
“We have to create some opportunities out of some of these disappointments and problems,” He said in an interview on Citi TV.
He was scheduled to be in London in May to hold a concert but had lost a great opportunity and the exposure that comes with it not forgetting the revenue.
Saying, this has reminded him on how to Ghanaian artiste rely solely on their concerts as a source of revenue., and how fractured the structure of the industry is.
Though restrictions are being removed gradually which is making things normal but no room was made for concerts during this coronavirus safety protocols.
He said this has become such an important call for him to adapt to the new changes and the new normal and not dwell on the losses.
“I think I have been around long enough to know that I have to adapt to challenges. I think I was quick to really configure my mind not to focus on what was missed opportunities but to focus on what could be done.” He said
Adding that the impact of the COVID-19 has given a chance for the entertainment industry to reorganize.
“It is time to actually band together and figure out new ways to resuscitate this thing otherwise, we are going to go a couple of years backwards,” he stressed.
