The Greater Accra Regional Police Command has advised the general public, especially the leaders in community and parents to be very cautious about things they chance upon and draw the attention of the police immediately for the appropriate response.
“Parents have been advised to guide their children and not to leave them”, this was stated in a statement signed by the Head of Public Relations at the Greater Accra Regional Police.
This follows the explosion that took place at the La Beach on August 5, 2020, leaving four children injured when they were playing along the beach.
The injured children have so been treated and discharged.
“Parents are advised not to leave children without the needed parental guide especially, now that they are home. Similarly, children should be discouraged from handling unfamiliar objects”, the police stated.
Adding that any emergency or strange things they see should immediately call the emergency 191, 18555, or 112.
