Ashantigold players are reported to have tested negative for the novel coronavirus disease ahead of the 2020/2021 season.
According to Kumasi based Oyerepa FM, no player or coaching staff at the club tested positive for COVID-19 after the management of the club received the results on Wednesday.
The four-time winners of the Ghanaian top-flight embarked on a Covid-19 test as they gear up for the resumption of training ahead of the continental quest.
“Thank God when the results came, we all tested negative,” the source told Oyerepa FM.
Ashantigold has been selected to represent Ghana in the upcoming CAF Confederations Cup despite the truncation of the season due to the disease.
