Presidential candidate for the biggest opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama has said that Akufo-Addo and his government are good at giving huge promises but poor at delivering, adding that their political power is the most important thing to them (NPP).
He averred that Akufo-Addo loves saying things that will melt Ghanaians heart to vote for them but they (NPP) will fail to justify the mandate Ghanaians have given them to be in power.
According to him, the NPP’s administration has failed to offer essential commodities such as water and electricity and among others to many communities, specifically those in the rustic areas of the country, while avoiding water projects started by Mahama during his tenure.
This came to light when John Mahama met the Paramount Chief and people of Sogakope in the South Tongu District of the Volta Region.
“I borrowed an amount of GH¢54 billion under my term in office that is between 2013 and 2016 which I used for many developmental projects hence Akufo-Addo has also borrowed more than GH¢140 billion yet we have not seen anything he (Akufo-Addo) has done with that amount,” he said.
John Dramani Mahama, therefore, advises Ghanaians to avoid violence as the country approaches the presidential and parliamentary elections in December and then urges them to vote NDC into power for another four-year term so they can deliver their promises.
