Former Black Stars B skipper, Isaac Twum is upbeat about their chances of maintaining their top-flight status in the Norwegian league.
Twum’s side will need a quick turnaround if they want to remain in the Eliteserien after enduring a turbulent campaign.
IK Starts currently occupies 15th position out of the 16 teams with just 12 points from 14 matches.
But Twum believes they have the requisite power to turn their season around and beat the relegation drop.
Speaking to Bryt FM in Koforidua, he said, “Right now my attention is not on the Black Stars because my team is struggling and could suffer relegation. So I want to help my club escape relegation this season and it is possible”
“It will worry me if my club is demoted, we are not determined to get the team out there. Helping my club out of relegation is my priority now rather than thinking about Black Stars call-up” he noted.
