A young man believed to be 19 years, Tei Dadego, has been confirmed dead after being stabbed by his girlfriend at Obawale-Tutunya, in the Upper Manya District of the Eastern Region.
The suspect, Dawutey Belinda, 18, is said to have stabbed the suspect for impregnating another lady in the same community.
Speaking to an eyewitness, he indicated that, the deceased had impregnated the two ladies but the suspect, however, aborted the baby.
“The suspect aborted her pregnancy but the other girl, Edith has kept her baby. The deceased had also expressed interest for a baby so his attention shifted to the pregnant lady” according to the eyewitness.
The report revealed that the suspect stabbed the deceased after a misunderstanding broke between the two.
“The deceased is said to have gone to the house of the pregnant wife, Edith with a knife, but fortunately met the deceased who stopped the suspect from initiating her planned intention”.
“The deceased then returned home with the suspect, where she stabbed him at the back. The deceased tried to escape but later fell as the suspect was still chasing him” the eyewitness told the reporter.
Meanwhile, the suspect has been arrested by the police with the body of the deceased deposited at the Koforidua Central Hospital.
