Social media commentator, Kwame Asare Obeng popularly known as Kwame A Plus has taken over the internet again in his recent post on Facebook reacting to the issue of legalizing Okada in the country.
According to the controversial activist, Okada is not the only means of transportation that kills the citizens, he argued that anybody can die in a plane, car, and bus, or even due to sickness.
His reaction follows the recent issues hovering around legalizing Okada riders in the country, A Plus has advised the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to kick-start the process of legalization.
The Okada legalization began after the flagbearer of NDC, John Dramani Mahama made his intentions known to Ghanaians when he disclosed that his government will legalize motorcycle as a mean of transport as he believes Okada has reduced unemployment in the country.
According to him, the party might suffer dearly in the upcoming elections if they do not take the bold step in regard to Okada transport.
He described the issue as a very sensitive one that needs to be addressed carefully by the New Patriotic Party leaders.
He added that the business is a very lucrative one and can be considered as one of the most used transport systems in the country which he believes has created jobs for a lot of people in the country.
In furtherance, A Plus indicated that NDC might stand a higher chance of winning the elections if NPP doesn’t legalize the business.
“John Mahama will legalize Okada “if” he becomes president. Akuffo Addo you are the president. Start the process now!!! If you don’t it will affect your chances. Go to any police station in Ghana and you will notice that there are many confiscated Okada sitting outside and left to rot. Boys are not happy”, he said.
Okada kills, aeroplanes kill, cars kill, buses kill, malaria kills, go to the road safely commission and ask them how many people have died in road accidents this year alone – even if nothing kills you, nature will force you to grow old and die.
