Ghanaian Producer Tracey Boakye has reacted to the recent trolling on social media about her choice of clothes.
The Kumawood actress recently donated to Cherub’s Orphanage Home in Kumasi to mark her son’s 6th birthday celebration.
Her kind gesture has attracted several reactions as some people were praising her for donating to the orphans whilst others also criticized and mocked her for the dress she wore to the donation.
Tracey who has been trending for a while responded to the critic on her Instagram live where she revealed that she is a fancy dress type of woman.
According to Tracey, she would rather spend her money on making properties for herself instead of buying designer clothes just for the gram.
“I have enough money to buy all the fancy clothes I want but I prefer to use my money to build houses because that is what I am interested in”, she said.
She added that, if she had more money she would have even channelled it into more donations because she is passionate about helping others.
Tracey Boakye said that some of these celebrities who dress extravagantly put unnecessary pressure on the youth and that most of them do not even have their own houses.
“ I am not the kind of celebrity that will dress so plush and still be renting someone’s house, these kinds of celebrities put unnecessary pressure on the youth, but I am here to motivate the youth”, she added.
She admitted that she loves it when people refer to her as ‘East Legon Landlady’ because that is the title she has been working hard for.
