Minister of Youth and Sports, Isaac Asiamah has reiterated government commitment to seek to the development of sports infrastructures in the country.
At the 26th Ordinary Congress of the Ghana FA, he revealed government desire to construct the traditional stadiums in the country in the bid to make Ghana football attractive again.
According to him, the stadia such as Pkando, Swedro, Tamale, Konongo and other traditional stadiums will soon receive a massive facelift.
“Sports thrive on infrastructure and this government is committed to building infrastructure for its development. All major stadia in the country are undergoing renovations and works on the ten multipurpose sports complexes are ongoing”
“On Friday, we shall be in Nkawkaw to cut a sod for the construction of their stadium and the Waterloo field in Konongo shall also see a facelift,” he said.
