Highlife artiste Adjei Richard known as Jeida Rich has said that the boastful and deceitful way of politicians is the cause of the underdevelopment in the country.
Revealing “Before God I don’t have an interest in politics at all. Because if you travel outside Ghana and you see how the system is working in other countries then you feel sad as a Ghanaian.
“For instance, a place like Dubai what natural resources do they have. They are even surrounded by desert but they make very good use of the oil they have so you’ll marvel when you get to Dubai it’s like heaven on earth.
“When you travel to even Belgium or Germany, you’d realize that the system is properly in place. But our politicians only come and boastfully tell lies to deceive the people. So, politics is something I don’t even want to hear in my ears,” he concluded.
Speaking with Amansan Krakye on GBC Radio Central he advised Ghanaians not depend solely on political intervention in their lives when he was given the opportunity.
“My advice is that once you are a Ghanaian work hard and don’t sit waiting for an intervention by a politician. Because if you live your life depending on what a politician might do for you, then you’d live a life of wasted years.” He said.
