Ghana U-20, Black Satellite coach, Abdul Karim Zito has thrown his weight behind Malik Jabir, Bashir Hayford and two other top coaches in the country to land the vacant Ghana Football Association technical director job.
Other experienced coaches he named are J.E Sarpong and Professor J.K Mintah.
The country’s football governing body is set to name a new Technical Director following the exit of Francis Oti Akenteng in March this year.
Three local coaches and three expatriates have been shortlisted for the job in a statement issued by the GFA.
Speaking to Kwaku Osei TV, he said, “I think Prof. Mintah, J.E Sarpong, Malik Jabir, and Bashir Hayford deserve to be technical director for Ghana football. They know the terrain and have that needed qualities to perform well but the final say lies in the power of the president, whether to appoint an expatriate or a Ghanaian.”
