Ruff Town Records signee Wendy Addo commonly known as Wendy Shay has sent an emotional message to President Akufo-Addo over some ill-treatments going on in the creative industry.
According to Wendy Shay, the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) ban on celebrities promoting alcoholic beverages have hindered the progress of many celebrities in the country to lose their jobs to Nigerian celebrities.
She poured her grievances on Twitter. She wrote “Dear @NAkufoAddo 1st, FDA stopped celebs from promoting alcoholic Bev’s making us lose jobs to Nigerian Celebrities Gaming commission just stopped us from promoting betting serv. So how do we survive as creative persons in this pandemic?”, she asked rhetorically.
It could be recalled that some weeks ago, CEO of Ruff Town Records, Bullet threatened to move his record label to Nigeria due to stiff laws in the Ghanaian entertainment landscape.
