The ruling NPP government, President Akufo-Addo says the implementation of the Planting for Food he introduces in his period is one of the factors that has led to economic development.
Speaking on Accra-based Television, Akufo-Addo indicated that Ghana was once importing food from nearby countries when the then president Mahama was in office but due to the prudent policies he (Akufo-Addo) has introduced has moved Ghana from being an importer of foods to a net exporter.
According to him, the economy has grown at an average rate of 7% adding that is one of the major successes of the last four years, with the program of the Planting for Food and Jobs.
“My hard work has boosted the economy to become beneficial to all Ghanaians,” he said.
“I want all Ghanaians to go to the polling stations on coming December 7 to vote number 1 in order to keep me (Akufo-Addo) in office to add more for the country,” he added.
