Two persons have died in a fatal accident at Akyem Adausena in Birim North District of the Eastern Region.
The bodies of the deceased persons – Michael Oteng, 22, and Thomas Somuah, 23, have been deposited at the morgue.
According to the local Police, a Mazda Demio Taxi cab with registration number GE 7489-20 driven by Ernest Boateng onboard by the two passengers was heading towards Akim Oda but upon reaching a section of the road skidded off his lane and crashed into a ditch.
The two passengers and the driver sustained serious injuries and were rushed to the New Abirim Hospital but the two passengers died while receiving treatment.
Their bodies have been deposited at Akyem Mamaso Community Morgue.
Police have commenced investigations into the accident.
