Koforidua Circuit Court “A” presided by Her Honour Mariam Affoh has sentenced Richard Aku Tetteh alias Dadabi, a resident of Nkurakan community who inflicted cutlass wounds on his friend over Ghc5 worth of bread.
The court sentenced the accused to 5 years of jail term in hard labor after pleading guilty.
Mybrytfmonline.com reported on November 13, 2020, that, a 24-year-old man -Joshua Ayittey has been attacked with a cutlass over Ghc5 worth of bread at Nkurakan in the Yilo Krobo Municipality of the Eastern Region.
The victim, Ayittey Joshua explained the circumstances to mybrytfmonline.com that “When I was returning home in the evening from work, I bought Ghc5 worth of bread .so I met Tetteh Dadabi whom a play a lot with. He collected the bread from me and told me he was holding it to escort me home. I was with another friend. Then all of a sudden Tettey Dadabi varnished with the bread.”
He continued that, “So my friend told me we should go and search for him in his house but while in the house he entered with cutlass threatening to kill us. It was an ambush; I had nothing to defend myself so he attacked me with a cutlass. Cut my knee, my upper arm, and my back”
The victim has since been treated and discharged by Doctors.
