The Eastern Regional Director of Electoral Commission, Faith Amejape has advised Ghanaians on the measures and protocols they should put in place ahead of the 2020 elections on December 7th.
According to her, the Electoral Commission is preparing for the elections keenly so the voters should also play their part by complying with measures outlined to ensure their safety.
“We are playing our part as the electoral commission so we have a peaceful election so voters should also do their best to help us”, she added.
Speaking in an interview on Dadi FM 101.1, with Abena Pokua Ahwenee, she said that due to the existence of Covid-19, Ghanaians should try their best to practice all the safety protocols so they don’t contract the virus.
As part of protecting themselves, they should go with their hand sanitizers, wash their hands thoroughly, and wear the nose mask at all times.
“Voters should comply with the safety measures we have laid down for them, please wear your mask and wash your hands as often as you can, and don’t forget the social distancing protocol”, she said.
Faith Amejape entreated all Ghanaians to ensure that the election will be peaceful so Ghana can have peace before and after the election.
“When you finish voting, go home and rest you can later come back during the counting of the vote, so we can successfully have a peaceful election”
She added that every Ghanaian is eligible to vote so one should be prevented from voting.
