Educationist and CEO for Educate Africa Institute have quizzed Ghanaians on what they intend to do after free education.
According to him, Ghanaians should not be flattered by the free things promised to them by the politicians because there is life after free education and there are a lot of students who haven’t made use of the knowledge they acquired from school.
In an interview with Abena Pokua Ahwenee on Dadi FM, 101.1 he said that he will be happy if a government can industrialize the country and make changes in our educational curriculum.
“Students can’t work with the knowledge they acquire from school, there are some first-class students who fret when they are asked to practice the knowledge they acquired. I will be glad if a government can concentrate more on the practical aspect of education”, he said.
He pointed out that Ghanaians should not jump into voting for any political party due to its free packages and gifts else they will be making a wrong decision.
He added that he genuinely doesn’t see any sense in the free tertiary education promised by the NDC because that is not what the country needs now.
“From my point of view, there is no sense in free tertiary education because Ghana has more pressing issues to battle with”
He advised politicians to focus on equipping Ghanaian youths with practicals from the theories they learn in school so that after school they can do something to reduce the rate of unemployment and stop promising free education.
