A man believed to be in his mid-20s has been arrested by the Ghana Police Service for smoking marijuana commonly known as ‘wee’ at the Aboabo M/A Primary School polling station in the Asawase constituency of the Ashanti Region.
Speaking in an interview with Pure FM, the Electoral Commission Presiding Officer for Aboabo M/A polling station, Mr. Atta Yeboah asserted that the relatively young gentleman was smoking weed at the back of the classroom where the polling station is located.
Adding that the police were alerted which they arrested the gentleman for smoking weed at the polling station, as he is currently in the Ashanti Regional Police Headquarters.
According to Mr. Atta Yeboah, police at the polling station picked an intelligent and arrested the guy for smoking weed at the polling Station.
“It is not true that he came to where the voting is ongoing, but he was smoking weed at the back of the polling station”.
