The Minority leader, Haruna Iddrisu has categorically stated that neither he nor any members on the minority side have been served with a court summons after the walk to the electoral commission headquarters.
Mr. Haruna in a press briefing in Parliament Monday said, he has heard of social media invitation by the Ghana Police service but the law states, there should be a personal summons before they could proceed to court to respond to whatever charges pressed against them.
The Minority, therefore, served to notice it will not honor any court summons from the Ghana Police Service until its members who embarked on a walk to the EC headquarters to present a petition is properly served.
The NDC MPs failed to turn up at the Accra Circuit Court in a case where the state is accusing them of breach of the public order Act. According to Haruna Iddrisu, he and his colleagues will not respond to the summons on social media.
He berated the Police for the inclusion of Hon. Dr. Zanetor Rawlings, Hon. Isaac Adongo and some other MP on the side of the minority in Police report as being part of the procession to the EC office on a faithful day
