The Ashanti Regional Industrial Relations Officer of the Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU), Mr Mohammed Canal Abdul Raman has instructed members not to allow passengers without nose masks to board their vehicle.
Mr Canal stated that masters at the various transport terminals had been directed to place Veronica buckets at the lorry stations and ensure strict adherence to the covid-19 safety measures.
“GPRTU has introduced “no facemask no entry’ policy” in the Ashanti region,’’ Mr Canal told Class FM.
He cautioned that any union member who allows passengers without a nose mask to board their cars will be sanctioned.
Meanwhile, President Akufo-Addo’s has advised Ghanaians to wear facemask in public places to reduce the spread of the coronavirus in the country.
