The Minister of State for Works and Housing and Member of Parliament (MP) for Tano North constituency, Mrs Freda Prempeh has said that the government will focus on affordable housing in order to reduce the cost of construction to make housing affordable.
Mrs Freda Prempeh assured the President that she would work hard to help address the deficit in the nation’s housing sector.
The Works and Housing sector is a key area President Akufo-Addo had prioritized in his last term of office. She added
She called for the establishments of a National Housing Fund, and the National Housing Authority that would promote and push the use of local materials for building and construction.
“Without the total support of Ghanaians, the government would be unable to facilitate accelerated national development”, Mrs Prempeh told GNA.
Mrs Prempeh also urged the populace to support the President and his appointees to push the Better Ghana Agenda, and Ghana beyond Aid.
