Covid-19 active cases in Akuapem North Municipality of the Eastern Region have risen to 26 out of 40 positive cases recorded in the second wave of the virus.
The 26 active cases are being managed while 14 discharged.
About 117 samples of contacts have also been taken for testing.
Meanwhile twelve (12) more Ghanaians have died of COVID-19 bringing the total number of casualties in the country to 494, the Ghana Health Service has announced in the latest update on February 12, 2021.
Also, 554 new cases of infection have been recorded bringing the total number of active cases to 6,948.
