Screen wiper in Accra, Ghana’s capital city Failatu Adam Alhassan, has finally got the support she requires to pursue her tertiary education.
She will, also, have surgery at the 37 military hospitals to deal with a dental challenge she is experiencing currently.

A non-governmental organization, Butterfly Your World Team took the step under the Streets To School program enrolled to identify young ones who have a dream to go back to school and get educated but have resorted to the street to hustle due to financial constraints.
On his Facebook post, the CEO of the Foundation, Godwin Martey revealed that Falaitu has been given full scholarship into tertiary education to pursue the course of her choice by providing for her accommodation and feeding.

He stressed that Falaitu’s parents, who are currently at Tamale have consented to their support to help the young girl.

FAILATU ADAM IS GOING BACK TO SCHOOL
During our Love on the Street (LOTS) of February 14 (LOTS is our monthly event, we are feeding 500 people on 14th March, details later) where we fed over 200 people, our team discovered an amazing, 21 year old, Muslim lady who was basically into wiping of windscreens to get something for her daily survival.
FAILATU ADAM ALHASAN has no one in Accra, hustles alone amongst the guys, sleeps in a very very bizarre location and condition. As our follow up team went to check up on her later, they brought me feedback that her health condition was bad as she had a dental problem which keeps her in persistent excruciating pain. Our team has gotten her on an excellent, fully paid treatment at the 37 Military Hospital to ensure she gets back her dental health.

As part of our follow up, I have received her results from her today when I met her. Failatu wants to go through Tertiary as she only completed SHS through street hustle cleaning screens.
Failatu has been given Scholarship for her Tertiary Education by the Butterfly your World Team and efforts are being put together by the team to find her the most suitable Tertiary Institution that is consistent with her dream as she has narrated to us. Her parents are in Tamale and have consented that we help her in any way we can.
Failatu is our new Butterfly, I am super excited.
She falls under our STREET TO SCHOOL (STS) arm. During our LOTS events, we try to identify young ones who have a dream to go to school and get educated but has resorted to the street to hustle as a result of no financial help. We pick them up and after our due diligence, as our Chairman (Jesus) gives us clearance, we remove them from the street completely by providing for them full scholarships, accommodations and feeding till their dreams come true.

I shall bring you updates as we make progress on Failatu. A big thanks to our team at Butterfly your World, the Love for the Street is so deep and real!
