The Asamankese Circuit Court presided over by His Honour Abubakari Abass Adams has sentenced a 21 year old unemployed to three months imprisonment for causing damage to properties belonging to one Janet Aticho in Akanteng.
Ayim Rockson, the accused pleaded guilty to causing unlawful damage, contrary to section 172 of Act 29/60 of the criminal offense acts.
Prosecuting Officer, Inspector Richard Lander Adukpo told the court that on 28th December 2020 at about 5:00am in Akanteng, the accused intentionally and unlawfully caused damage to four standing plantain trees, two big Adom rubber buckets valued at Ghs300.00, six rubber bows worth Ghs180.00, three School uniforms valued at Ghs150.00, all to the tune of Ghs630.00, properties of Janet Aticho.
The prosecution said the accused person is the complainant’s son-in-law having a year old baby girl with her daughter, Elizabeth Aticho and they all live at Akanteng.
The prosecutor said the accused person on December 8, 2020, went to Elizabeth Aticho House to collect a seized mobile phone in Akanteng which led to the misunderstanding between the complainant and accused person but the accused could not control him and caused damage to properties of the complainant during an argument.
