Residents of Koforidua, the Eastern Regional capital, have expressed shock at the negligence on the part of the Regional Coordinating Council in keeping the surroundings of Ministries and environs clean from weeds.
The area which has gradually turned bushy house government workers, who have also turned death years on the matter.
A visit to the place by the reporter saw that weeds have taken over the Ministries-Residency-Galloway stretch of the road with authorities looking on.
A visit also revealed that some occupants who stayed in the bungalows earlier did back yard gardens and planted foodstuffs that have grown over the years without harvesting and have been neglected in the bush by current occupants.
Surprisingly, the same bushy area house the Parks and Gardens Department that could have rather beautify the place to fit the status of the Regional Coordinating Council but it is different in this case.
Meanwhile, there are so many young guys from the northern part of the country along the stretch of the bushy road who are waiting to be called to weed for a living as it is their daily job.
