Ghana and Spezia Calcio forward Emmanuel Gyasi has said that he will never forget the encounter he had with Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo.
Gyasi, who plies his trade for Italian Serie A made his dream debut for the Black Stars against South Africa at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg last week during the 2021 AFCON qualifiers.
In an interview with Happy FM, he shared his unforgettable moment with the Juventus talisman and said he will never forget having a chat with him.
“I had the privilege to play with him, talk with him, had the jersey to go to the dressing room to have a chat with him. So I was leaving in a dream, it was incredible. In the second league against Juventus when I went there I didn’t ask about him but before we started the game he came to me and said Gyasi how are you, in fact, I was shocked”
“I asked myself how will a big player like this maybe he won’t remember me but I was shocked because he came to me and hugged me and said after the first half come and I will give you the jersey, I was like dreaming”
“So after the first half we played very well and he couldn’t score a goal, he hit the post and was nervous so I said that maybe this he will not give me the jersey”
“The referee whistled for recess, he went inside the room, I thought he was in the dressing room so I walk easily to go to my dressing room, I arrived inside and saw him waiting for me, I was very shocked because he was waiting for me to give me the jersey.”
“At the end of the game he invited me and we had a chat, it was an incredible moment that I will save in my heart” he concluded.
