The covid-19 test has been conducted for first-year students of Akosombo International School (AIS) in the Eastern region.
The mass testing was conducted for all first-year students but results released so far indicate that none of the students tested positive.
Over 70 students and Teachers were tested positive in a similar test conducted for continuing students in January this year when schools in Ghana were reopened after almost a year of closure due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
According to the Management of the school, students and staff who tested positive have all recovered, counseled, and reintegrated into the school for the new academic year which started in March this year.
Management has assured parents and guardians that more comprehensive Covid-19 preventive measures have been put in place to protect both students and staff from the virus.
