The director-general of the Ghana Health Service, Dr. Patrick Kuma – Aboagye has advised Ghanaians to continue to adhere to the COVID-19 protocols to help prevent any third wave in the country.
Dr. Patrick Kuma-Aboagye indicated that the measures put in place during the Easter period to curb the spread of COVID-19 were largely successful.
To him, the low cases recorded during the Easter festivities were a result of measures put in place to prevent the viral disease.
Speaking to the press in Accra, the Director-General of the GHS, Dr. Patrick Kuma-Aboagye affirmed that they still have significant threats, especially with the third wave in Europe, the rising case in India, Brazil, and some other countries.
“We need to work very hard to prevent the new variant hence that is why the work at the airport remains significant,” Kuma-Aboagye said.
