The Constituency Secretary for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Tano South of the Ahafo region, Alhaji Sully Rashid, well known as Hon Sully has appealed to parliamentary aspirant across the country to elude from political insults to each other within the party during this year parliamentary primaries.
Following the routine behaviours exhibited by politicians during election years, Hon. Sully has advised the aspirants to keep in mind peace and unity if they want to maintain power in this years’ general election.
According to him, the Tano South Constituency Executives are making all the necessary effort to maintain unity among themselves in the constituency ahead both the Parliamentary and presidential primaries.
Hon. Sully disclosed to Bryt FM’s reporter, Augustine Agyapong (Kojo Mframa) at the NPP party office in Bechem that three people namely: Sarfo Edward, Isaac Agyei Buabeng and Emmanuel Kofi Amankwah have picked their nomination forms to Contest the seating Member of Parliament (MP) who double as Ahafo Deputy Regional Minister, Hon. Benjamin Yeboah Sekyere, in the coming NPP primaries.
“It’s been week nomination period was opened. We received out forms on Friday with three people having picked their forms. Every aspirant should follow rules and regulations brought forth by the National Executive Council”, He averred.
Prior to their urge to promote peace and unity in this year’s elections, Hon. Sully said, “Tano South Constituency Executives would not prevent any candidate from picking up a nomination form to contest the incumbent Member of Parliamentary seat in the constituency”.
He is, therefore, urging all interesting persons to go and pick their forms in order to make the primaries, a free and fair one.
