Francis Asenso Boakye, the Minister for Works and Housing has assured that the ruling government, Akufo-Addo is set to accomplish all the existing and the installed Housing projects within a short term in administration to the benefit of the country.
He specified that the government is chasing all available options for the completion of all stalled housing projects including the Saglemi Housing Project emphasizing that the government will not break a promise on its duty to ensure that Ghanaians obtain value-for-money in housing projects.
“Akufo-Addo has set to complete all present and stalled projects within the short term while applying other media to long term tactics that will ultimately increase access to sufficient, safe, secure, and affordable housing options for the low to middle-income groups in the country,” he added.
This came to light at the Minister’s Press Briefing in Accra.
However, it is estimated that 60% of Ghana’s population needs some form of government help to aid them access housing even though 35% will not be able to access housing even with government backing.
