A total of 1,111 foreigners have been tested positive for the pandemic COVID-19 at Kotoka International Airport as of 3oth June 2021, according to Director-General of Ghana Health Service, Dr. Patrick Kuma Aboagye.
He said most of the people who were tested positive came from Liberia and Sierra Leone and the total number confirmed at the Airport as of 30th June is 1,897, at which male represents 63.0%, and male cases alone are 1,195.
Tests conducted in Ghana at the end of June 2021 was 1,261,677
Dr. Patrick Kuma Aboagye said COVID-19 protocol adherence is very low for the past three months and that has increased the daily number of cases from 30 to 40 to over 80 currently and Active case stands at 1,619.
The number of deaths recorded is now at 796 and recoveries is 91,937, while confirmed cases since March 2020 stands at 96,402
The Director-General said a total of 396,759 Ghanaians have been fully vaccinated with COVID-19 vaccines while 854,915 have had first done and total doses as of 30th June 2021 was 1,261,677.
