A 47-year-old Founder and Leader of the Christ Mission Church at Jedu a suburb of Mankessim in the Mfantseman Municipality of the Central Region, Pastor Francis Hammond has committed Suicide by hanging himself over the decision by his wife to divorce him.
Bryt FM News Correspondent Eric Owusu Amponsah reports Pastor, Francis Hammond went to his hometown at Etii Sonkwa Wednesday Morning to inform his father that he was depressed therefore should pray for him.
The father attempted to call his Senior Brother who is also a Pastor to inform him about it but the now-deceased Pastor told the father not to call his Senior brother that he will be fine.
Pastor Hammond went to sleep but was found hanging dead on a ceiling fan Thursday morning.
The family informed Mankessim Jedu Police and the body was conveyed to the Abura Dunkwa Government Hospital Mortuary.
Mother to the deceased Victoria Hammond said she was in Accra when she had a destress call that she should come home for an emergency meeting so she did the rushed home only for her to be informed that her son has to commit suicide by hanging.
She blamed the window for the incident warming that the family will not allow her to attend the funeral of her late husband.
