Officials in Niger say 37 people have been killed in a suspected Islamist attack in the western Tillaberi region.
Armed men sped into the village of Darey-Daye on motorbikes on Monday afternoon, shooting people as they worked in their fields.
Thirteen of the dead are children.
In March nearly 70 people were killed in the same village.
Tillaberi lies at the epicentre of Islamist violence in the Sahel, which is concentrated in the zone where Niger meets Mali and Burkina Faso.
Multiple jihadist groups operate in the area, some linked to al-Qaeda, others to the Islamic State group.
Hundreds have been killed in western Niger this year, and tens of thousands of people have fled their homes.
Local, regional and international forces have been unable to contain the insurgency.
