Former Deputy Health Minister, Dr. Bernard Okoe Boye has asked ex-president John Mahama to channel his energy in helping to make the country great again.
According to Dr. Okoe Boye making Ghana better should be a collective effort and it’s about time former president Mahama stop apportioning blames and blaming others.
“Would it have been right if the NPP had told him the same in 2012? Please let’s stop this and focus on what we can do for the nation instead of accusing others,” he said.
Dr. Okoe Boye’s reaction comes after Mr. Mahama urged Ghanaians to vote out the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) government in 2024, for them to be audited to prevent them from walking away with “all the money they have stolen”.
“The NPP has no intention of fighting corruption, and so the only way they can be made to account to the people of Ghana is for them to leave office so that the new government will come and audit them and show where they have gone wrong.
“Otherwise, all the money they have stolen, they will just walk away with it. If you participate in politics or are a participant in public service, one of the first things you must be willing to do is to be accountable to the people,” the 2020 presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) said in the Upper West Region during his ‘Thank you’ tour.
