Bank Roller of Brekum Arsenal Alhaji Yakubu Moro says he is not bothered by the decision of the Ghana Football Association Disciplinary Committee to ban his club from the MTN FA Cup.
Brekum Arsenal together with three other clubs (Techiman City, Okyeman Planners and Brekum Arsenals) have been banned from the competition after failing to honour their MTN FA Cup Preliminary round of matches without permission from the GFA and prior withdrawal notification to the FA.
According to the GFA Prosecutor, the clubs have been declared losers of their respective matches and have been fined an amount of GHc5000.00 each.
In an interview with Bryt FM, Alhaji Yakubu Moro said he is not worried as he believes his side will be exonerated in the end.
“We have petitioned the DC to allow us to explain things to them because they did not notify us before the commencement of the competition. We have not signed any contract with the FA”
“We have not taken money from them and so, declining to honour the game should not lead to a ban. There are a lot of issues that need to be told. Should they decline to meet us for dialogue, we are likely to go to court” he said.
“We don’t care if they have evicted us from the competition because the FA has not been transparent” he ended.
