The Public Affairs Director For Ghana Police Service, Superintendent Alexander Obeng has laid out possible charges the court will put against Shatta Wale, his PA Nana Dope, Pastor Stephen Kweku Appiah who made the prophecy, and one other person.
According to him, Shatta Wale is likely to face the charge of False Publication because the gunshot attack news steered fear and anxiety in the country.
He stressed that his crime is the gunshot attack stunt he pulled on himself placed the security system and the citizens in the country at risk.
“With what he did, people will start feering for their lives and start to think that they can be shot or attacked anywhere and at any time, posing the security system in Ghana as weak”.
Speaking in an interview with Abena Opokua Ahwenee on Dadi FM, 101.1, he added that Pastor Stephen Kweku Appiah, known as Jesus Ahuofe of the New Life Kingdom Church will also face some charges in court for the prophecy he made against the Dancehall Artist.
“Since this is a court issue I can’t list what his charges will be but you don’t say what you’ve not seen because whatever you say against someone will have complications on you when you’re caught”, he opined.
He highlighted that the other two guys who were arrested with Shatta Wale will also be charged based on their crime.
Superintendent Alexander advised that people should take whatever they say on social media very important and should not publish false or wrong statements about someone or something since it is a punishable crime in law.
“You might be somewhere, thinking you own all the freedom to say whatever you want to say but once you’re caught and your statements instigate fear and panic in a society or people, you will pay for your crime”, he added.
