A staunch member of the National Democratic Congress in the Suhum constituency Kwame Kyei has confirmed placing a curse on the youth organizer of the party in the constituency, Yahuza, and other leaders of the party based on taking bribes from the New Patriotic Party to sabotage the party.
Kwame Kyei, speaking to the host of “Efa Wo Ho” Abena Opokua Ahwenee on Dadi FM said, the continuous loss of the party to the NPP in the constituency is as a result of the bribes Yahuza and other leaders of the party take from a former member of parliament for Suhum and a member of the NPP party, Opare Ansah which influence their efforts and commitments towards the party.
“Opare Ansah has been feeding them. He sent them an amount of 8000 cedis to sabotage the party. Sadick, the party’s organizer, Opoku Okrah, the party’s chairman, and Yahuza all take monies and gifts from him and that’s why the party keeps losing”, he opined.
He disclosed that Yahuza was the first to invoke a curse on him so he only responded by placing the same on him.
“He cursed me first. I only practiced what my belief as a traditionalist required of me. I said if I’m wrong, then the gods should deal with me but if he is guilty then the gods should deal with him”
Reacting to it, Yahuza denied taking the said amount of 8,000 from Opare Ansah or any gifts to sabotage the party. He admitted to receiving just 200 cedis from him as support for his late father’s funeral.
“About 5 months ago, people came to me with rumors that I have sold my loyalty to the NPP party and that Kwame Kyei was behind such accusations. I, therefore, placed the curse that, if I’m guilty of such allegations then the gods kill me but if I’ve been falsely accused by Kwame Kyei, then the gods deal with him’
In the same vein, Eastern Regional Secretary of the NDC, Kojo Adukpo said, leaders of the party in the constituency are having meetings to quickly resolve the issue and overturn the curse for peace to reign within the party in the constituency.
“When we heard about the issue, we called Kwame Kyei and reproved him of such action and utterances. We have asked for him to meet with us so we can go and overturn the curse. This is uncalled for, and we are meeting to resolve it”
