The Ghana Catholic Youth Organization (C.Y.O) has called on Ghana Media Commission and the Government to restructure and enforce media laws in the country to clean the media space from the advertisement of occult groups, ritualism, and money laundering activities.
The organization is also calling on the Government to allow institutions to operate without any interference from any quarters.
A resolution from the C.Y.O at the end of the 58th National Management Council meeting held in the Organization’s headquarters in Adoagyiri-Nsawam of the Eastern Region called on Government to create more effective job opportunities for the Youth in the Country to reduce the rate of unemployment.
National Management Council of the C.Y.O called on Ghanaians to support Parliament to pass the Act “Proper Sexual Right and Ghanaian family values bill without delay.
According to the National Management Council, the Catholic Church should also provide avenues for more faith formation activities and appeal to the church to improve the involvement of Ghana C.Y.O in its engagement with the Youth Council in the decision-making process that concern the Youth.
The Organization called on its leaders to employ the church’s structure to organize alternative livelihood training programs for members in the Organization to be self-reliant and urged leaders in the C.Y.O to sensitize Members to eschew money rituals, o cultism, ritual murder, and other immoral acts.
