Makeup and hairstyling are creating a notch in the beauty industry. A lot of people are gradually entering the beauty industry but the question is do they have all it takes to rub shoulders with the gurus when it comes to the technique of transforming an individual and creating the elusive look?
Inner Works Creatives, beauty artistry is poised to roll an exciting maiden reality show dubbed “Makeup and hair show Africa” The show seeks to equip prospective makeup artists and hair stylists with the requisite skill so they can fit in the competitive market. This according to the CEO of Inner Works Creatives Miss Afua Kwofie, will boost skills, unearth talents and help the youth have an interest in vocational training, a means of livelihood.
The audition for the event which saw hairstylists and makeup artists troop in with their accoutrements to showcase their skills to be selected was in two zones; the Southern Zone and the Northern Zone held in Accra at the Oasis Studio, Adabraka on the 5th November 2021 and at the Kumasi Cultural Center on 13th November 2021 respectively.
30 delegates comprising both sexes made it to the first stage of the competition and would have to battle it out to
be a part of the final selected 20 delegates for the main show. The judges for the Auditions were Ginger, a renowned makeup and hairstylist, Guru an award-winning makeup and hairstylist and Aunty Ami a grooming/communication coach.
Delegates will be trained by renowned experts in the beauty industry, groomed on branding, business management as well as communication skill to make them holistic entities in the industry. They will also get to meet experts in the industry, interact with them to boost their confidence and management skills.
The reality show which promises to be thrilling, suspense-packed, educative and entertaining hits the screens of TV AFRICA soon. The show is an Inner Works Creatives initiative and is proudly sponsored by Makeup Ghana.
