The Central Regional Minister, Hon Justina Marigold Assan on behalf of the Chief of Staff, Hon. Akosua Frema Osei-Opare has presented an amount of Ghc 15,000.00 to the Ghana Blind Sports Association.
The donation was to support the Association as Ghana host the Goalball African Championship in Cape Coast, Central Region.
It is also geared towards motivating the team to give out their very best to lift the flag of Ghana high as far as the competition is concerned.
Hon. Marigold Assan assured the Association of government’s unflinching support to the Ghana Blind Sports Association anytime the need arises and therefore charged them to perform well in the competition.
However, on behalf of the team, the President of the Ghana Blind Sports Association, Mr. Eric Kussi, who received the donation promised to achieve the greater feat in the ongoing competition and called on all Ghanaians to throw their support behind them.
He also, expressed gratitude to the government for the support as it will go a long way to inspire them to do their best to raise the image of Ghana high.
