The second edition of the DAFI scholarship program was celebrated under the theme ‘’For a Bright Future with the Education of Girls, draw your dream and create an Impact in your Generation” with over 231 participants in the East region of Cameroon.
The program ran from the 29th of November to December 3rd, 2021 in Lolo, Mbilé and Timangolo.
Organised by Plan International Cameroon and UNHCR, it had as objective to promote quality education at all levels especially that of the young refugee girl through sensitization of the community’s leaders and parents on its importance and to encourage more refugees to join the DAFI scholarship program.
A sensitization campaign was carried out by other scholars of the DAFI program to encourage parents to see the benefits of education.
The workshops ended in an exchange with parents on ways to improve the standards of education, especially that of the girl child.
