Management of Cape Coast Technical University has unveiled a solar powered Tricycle (Pragya), which was fully designed and assembled by the Engineering Design & Innovation Center of the University with support from the Energy Commission of Ghana.
The tricycle is without an engine, solely uses solar energy, inbuilt seat belts, WiFi connections, noiseless, and other great innovations which are geared towards promoting green, clean, and environmentally friendly automobiles.
On behalf of the Central Regional Coordinating Council, the Regional Minister, Mrs. Justina Marigold Assan pledged our support to the University’s technology-driven initiatives to motivate them to do more to contribute to the nation’s technological development.
She, however, encouraged students to develop innovative ideas that could help the automobile industry and in turn, help provides jobs to deal with unemployment issues in Ghana.
