Ghana Integrity Initiative (GII) has honored the NCCE for its contribution towards the fight against corruption and promoting transparency through its civic education programs.
At a short Awards ceremony, NCCE was recognized through one of its flagship programs, Social Auditing to highlight the need for accountability and transparency in local governance.
Chairperson of NCCE, Ms. Josephine Nkrumah, Deputy Chairperson in charge of Finance and Administration, Ms. Kathy Addy, and some Directors of the Commission were present at the event to receive the award.
Ms. Josephine Nkrumah, Chairperson of NCCE in her remarks expressed gratitude to GIS for the recognition and pledged to do more to educate Ghanaians on national issues.
She, however, urged all Ghanaians to support the Commission in its activities t achieve the needed results.
