Twelve (12) brand new Motorbikes have been handed over for distribution to new assembly members in Abuakwa North Municipality in Eastern Region.
The MCE Alhaji Umar Bodinga handed over the Super Star motorcycles to the Presiding Member, ???. ???????? ?????? to be given to the first-time Assembly members to help them do their works within their electoral areas effectively.
The PM concurrently handed over the motorbikes to the Assembly Members.
The 12 motorcycles are the first batch the Assembly received from the Eastern Regional Coordinating Council.
Twelve (12) more are expected to come in to be given to the rest of the Assembly members.
The provision of motorbikes to Assembly members was initiated by the late President Atta Mills to facilitate the movement of assembly members in their electoral areas to enhance efficiency in responding to local issues.
