The Bibiani District Manager of the Electricity Company (ECG) of Ghana, Mr Joseph Aneeri has urged the general public to pay their bills regularly to have sustainable power.
Mr Joseph Aneeri in an interview with Hamza Mohammed praised residents of Bibiani for regular payment of power being consumed by their customers.
“We have embarked on mass disconnection and removal of illegal meters to pave way for the beater system” he added.
He called on the public to be aware of the importance of sustainable power generations which could only be achieved when people pay for power consumed through legal means.
He explained that without paying power being consumed it will be difficult for the system to function due to the huge capital required to keep our lights on.
He stressed that the ECG still remained committed to providing quality, reliable and safe electricity services to support the socio-economic growth and development of the country.
He, therefore, recalls that as the ECG is ready to serve the country, it is important that customers honour their obligations when we come to those owning they have to pay for what they have consumed already.
