Benjamin Yaw Gyarko, Municipal Chief Executive for Techiman the Bono East regional capital has called on Nananom, Department/Agencies, Assembly members and the good people of Techiman to give him their maximum support in order to achieve his vision of giving the Town a major facelift.
According to him, Techiman after the creation of Bono East region may have not seen the desired development over the years but with the help of all devoid of partisan politics and personal interests, Techiman could be given a befitting regional capital status by the end of his tenure as MCE.
Speaking at a media engagement in Techiman to give an account of his stewardship for the first 100 days in office as MCE, Hon. Benjamin Gyarko revealed that management of the Techiman Municipal Assembly has planned to expand infrastructure in areas of education, health, roads, security etc. as well as improve on social and human development.
Hon. Benjamin Gyarko reiterated his commitment to maximizing revenue from the Techiman market which is the largest food market in West Africa and attracts traders/buyers from across the subregion every week but pleaded with the citizenry to be responsible and pay their taxes/rates in order to give the assembly enough IGF to support government’s developmental projects.
